Random emails sent from me then back to me?

Q: Random emails sent from me then back to me?

Hello everyone,
I am not sure if this is a virus or something of the type or what it is. I have been getting random emails with a bunch of gibberish and it looks like they are from me? or trying to send to somewhere but then getting returned? I am not too sure. I couldn't follow the route. I will be replacing my email address in the posting with MY EMAIL. Also will be blocking out IP addresses. I am not sure which ones are part of my company and not. Let me know if the IP addresses are needed. I don't recall ever dealing with or sending anything to Macy's. These also come with 2 attachments I believe usually. I should say I am using "me" as in I am doing work for this employee at my work where I am doing some IT support and whatever else they need. This issue is something new though. Nothing came up on Malwarebytes or anti virus.

Preferred Solution: Random emails sent from me then back to me?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Random emails sent from me then back to me?

Per ICANN: https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=lightsonromance.com. Enom is the registrar, domain was created last November, the admin contact is a well known fake to those who deal with spam (me). The IP address per HPHosts, http://hosts-file.net/default.asp?s=lightsonromance.com (, I have seen this host before. This is nothing more than spam and IMHO I would take steps to Blacklist the domain and IP address range. Cheers.

Computer seems stable and then will randomly BSOD-- Doesnt seem to be consistent with what im doing. A few of the BSOD's came after a 'error memory reference line' or something like that.

Computer is new, I installed drivers with supplied disks from motherboard manufacturer (asus). At first I thought it was the memory because Id read people having issues running 1866mhz ram with their Asus 990FX sabertooth, so I let it 'auto clock' and it chose 1333, But im still getting BSOD after that, tried adjusting voltage with no success either.

Please help, its very frustrating.. If I need to reinstall windows that is not an issue, I just need to stop the blue screens.

Is this possible?

Because often I'll send messages that I regret later, and this would be really, really convenient.

A:Getting back sent emails

Once you send them, they are on your ISP's system and delivered to the recipients email inbox a few milliseconds later, where it would take a police order to have them retrieved.

The only exception is where they are in a company LAN system, where they do not travel outside the company system (never out to the "internet" email system). Then, if the recipient has not collected them from the company email server they can (if its a permitted activity) be recalled. That is because they never "left the building".

Hi guys,

Sorry not sure if this is the right forum to post this. Got a computer with Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600).

The comp was given to some tech guys to clean and they took out all the mails from 2009. All i got are 2008 mails. I have a VERY IMPORTANT mail that has travel itinerary for a business trip next week. Those idiots probably deleted it cause i cant find it anywhere now.

Im using Microsoft Outlook Express 6. Is there anyway i can get those messages back?? They didnt format the comp so i think it should still be in here somewhere.

Help please

Hi... I'm in help desk in my company. We're having an issue with emails sent to Hotmail, they're being rejected. Microsoft answered, via website:

"Welcome to Microsoft Community. We understand how important for you to be able to send an email to Microsoft accounts from your domain account.

You need to get in touch with the Microsoft Sender Support Team. They have to fill out the e-form that can be found on the following link to solve your issue with the error code 550 SC-002 where your emails sent from your domain to Microsoft Account rejected for policy reasons.

If you are the 3rd party Domain Administrator:

Please review our policies and guidelines at http://postmaster.live.com.
If you are in compliance, submit a support request to our Email and Delivery Filtering Services team by clicking on the link to the e-form under the troubleshooting section in the postmaster site mentioned above.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Thank you. "

... but the problem is that mails sent to Gmail are being rejected too... So I suppose that our servers are being considered as spammers, for the time being, for some reason. Is there a workaround to this without having to contact either Hotmail or Gmail? That's dealing with obnoxious bureaucrats... if you ever can get a hold of them...

Hi guys,
I checked the forums like many should do before asking, but most say oe or other names I have no idea of. My email is a sbcglobal.net address through yahoo, with internet through ATT. I'm not computer techy, so all those other email programs went over my head,

I had an email that I thought was safe that I "thought" I saved, but it got deleted. Over time the deleted emails were cleared too. (OOOPPPSSSS) I see there are certain programs to run to see if they are on the hard drive somewhere, but like I said I have no idea what email program I fall under. RIght now I have a windows 8 but it could also be on my older computer, which is a vista.

Any way to possibly get it back? Thought if anybody knew it would be you guys, or gals.

Thanks, and have a great day

A:Getting back deleted emails

Are you using web mail access? That is, when in your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) you go to some Yahoo! or att or sbc address to access your mail? If so, the deleted message will not be on either of your computers.

If, however, you are using an email client (Vista's Windows Mail, Thunderbird, etc.) which one(s)?

What I am about to ask help on is all second hand information. I have zero examples of this and have no idea where to look.
Client is using Office365 setup by their previous IT company.
The previous company asked the client to notify us (being me and others) to remove them off the list so when the "client" gets bounce back emails the previous IT company no longer gets emails about it.
Where in the portal would that be? I am poking around and have no idea where to look for such a request nor was ever aware of it.

A:Office365 - Bounce Back Emails - Notifications

Can I just double check what you mean here.
When the user gets a bounce back message the old IT company would also get an e-mail saying the user had received a bounce back?
If I am correct then it would be something I personally would do via the users mail client, might be worth checking there. As for the O365 portal I am unsure of any parts in there other than OWA.

Are all emails returned or just some?

One reason why they may come back is that the addresses are no longer valid or they may be blocked due to infection.

If you are using Outlook Express or another Windows email client, you may not have configured it correctly for your ISP -- you should contact them for information on how to set it up.

Oh bugger

Had to do a factory image re-install and did a complete back up onto a 32 gig memory stick. So far so good, re-install went ok and personal files such as photos etc all re-appeared but once I got Outlook up and running I could not find the emails or address book.

Now it seems that there were two back ups on the stick but only a few weeks appart so has that compromised the file re-install and where the hell are my emails. I have searched for *.pst (I think that is what they are) but can find nothing at all. I did find an Outlook file called archive and that put some sent emails into the system but thats about it. When I look at the contents of the memory stick it says Home PC with a little CD graphic and when I go to the next layer it says Back up set and then the date followed by a number. The next layer then lists another back up which was the latest with a different number, the next layer gives over 60 folders on the earlier back up and only 6 on the later.

Any ideas as to how I can reslove this lot or have I made a mess of it all

Does someone know how I can upload my emails from Outlook back to the Yahoo server. I have an Yahoo Plus account.

A:Upload Yahoo Emails back to server

just select the e mail select the "forward" option and mail it back to yourself , obviously make sure your e mail client isnt set to automatically download or you'll just end up with it back on your desktop

you can also set your e mail client to leave a copy of the mails on the server everytime it downloads any mails.

I would like to get my saved emails off of my hard drive and onto a floppy disk. Then I would like to bring them back on to my hard drive. Of course, I would want them to be accessible by my email program when I restore them to the hard drive. How can I do this? I am using Outlook Express. Thanks.

A:How Do I Transfer Saved Emails To A Floppy & Back Again?

Hi, The easiest way is to email them to yourself even to another email address or email program that works to recieve and send Outlook Express mail, then reinstall or whatever you are going to do...and the emails will be waiting for you when you configure your account in Outlook on the reinstall.
You may need to update Internet Explorer, which contains OE updates> to the current version, etc and security updates, first.
You may have to spend a few minutes sending them, but unless there are way too many, it is tedious to copy emails themselves, that contain attachments, etc, to floppy disks. It depends on what the emails are...if there are links, ads, pictures etc...or just text emails.

You should also of course, get your Address book, Favorites from IE or other browser (you can import/export favorites and cookies in IE) too.

Remember- when you login to sites that require password and user name (TSG is one that does, it lets you save your login but when you clear cookies, you have to manually log back in the first time) Hope this helps. If you try a few emails, you may see that you like the idea..

I am not sure about how long your mail server will keep the emails you send> be a good idea to check on that, maybe it is adjustable, some ISPs have a way to extend the keep current period.

If these emails were created with a fairly current version of OE they should be readable by the same or higher version, but send your self a few and check it out!

My Zone alarm and Vista didnt seem to like each other and so Zone alarm wouldn't uninstall even using Revo. I was advised to back up all my files and then do a factory restore, which I did onto an external hard disc.
I tried to use the Wizard to move the files back onto my machine but was told by the wizard that as backup had not been set up on my machine it could not do a transfer. I presume because I had reverted to a factory settings reinstall.
I can see my windows mail folder on my external hard drive. I have been able to copy and paste all my contacts and that is working well
My question to the panel is what is then the easiest way to move the messages folder back onto my machine? Can I move the whole folder and all its contents or can I go into the folder and just pull back the In and out box.
When I look into say the In box on my external backup all I see is a winmail.fol extension. What should I be looking for and doing Guys? this is driving me nuts!

A:moving backed up emails back into Vista

The email messages will be in files with the .eml extension.

If you locate those, then create folders in Windows Mail and
highlight the .eml files and drag them to the folders you just

I am having a problem with Windows Mail (Comcast). Emails with several photos attached bounce back to the sender. I am able to receive email with 5 photos attached from an AOL account, but when someone with a Yahoo acccount tries to send the same, it bounces back to them, and I have no idea the attempt was even made, unless they email me without the photos and tell me. (A while ago, I had the same problem with another AOL sender as well.) Is there a setting I can change?

A:Emails to me with photos bounce back to sender

Apparently they are rejected by the server. I can think of two reasons, they are being picked up as spam or they are too large. You may want to read the Terms of Service (TOS) on the website of your ISP.

Since Microsoft Mail doesn't seem to sync correctly, Outlook.com doesn't seem to support pop accounts ( and I was getting some "TLS API error" ), I logged in to the pop server with telnet:

telnet pop.secureserver.net PORT

Which means 0 messages, 0 bytes, as I understand.

I use a gmail account to send an email to this pop account and it bounces back:
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Please don't think i'm impatient but i really need some advice.

I posted this problem yesterday, i think it's gone to the second page, maybe someone will get to it eventually, i hope you don't mind me posting it again.

Just before my pc crashed, my son, who shares Outlook Express with me exported his emails on to a cd, at that time i had Windows Me and Outlook Express 5.

I had a new c drive put in and went back to Windows 98, i also updated to Outlook Express 6.

My son has gone through all the stages of trying to import his emails from the cd back into his identity in Outlook Express but they went into my identity even though he loged in with his own identity.
How do i go about transferring his emails from my identity to his own in Outlook.

I am new to this sort of thing and would really appreciate your help.

Sorry for posting this twice.

Since January I have had this awful new version of outlook preview forced upon me.
The main problem is it has all 6000 emails on display, making navigation impossibly slow. Most of the time I give up. I've got almost a month of mainly unanswered emails because it is too stressful to browse them like this. In short, I simply don't have the time.
I cannot find anywhere into revert back to 35 messages per page
Please help.
Best wishes, R

Hi there,Firstly, I would get to a known clean PC and change your account's password and secret question/answer. To do this, right-click on TDSSKiller.exe, select Rename and give it a random name with the .com file extension (i.e. 123abc.com). If you do not see the file extension, please refer to How to change the file extension.Click the Start Scan button.Do not use the computer during the scanIf the scan completes with nothing found, click Close to exit.If malicious objects are found, they will show in the Scan results - Select action for found objects and offer three options.Ensure Cure (default) is selected, then click Continue > Reboot now to finish the cleaning process.

I want to run a competition which allows people to email an answer to the competition email address, the problem is I need to randomly choose a message for the winner.

I have searched with all the search engines with no luck, does anybody know how I could do this?

A:Random Emails

i dont know how feasablw this is but you could copy all the mails header into excel - i just tried that with outlook and it worked oK
Then you can use the random number function in excel to generate a number between the range of cells you have messages for the use that as the row number and theres the mail.....

limited to the number of rows excel will display max 65,536

This morning emails I am sending to hotmail accounts I use every day are being bounced back with the message :"550 SC-001 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation problems." There is nothing different from usual about the eemails I am sending. What is going on please?

A:Windows Live Hotmail suddenly bouncing back emails

Hi Aroominyork, it is possible the mail server you use for sending mail has been added to a black list which is now causing you issues.

You need to find the IP of your SMTP server (which you can find probably in the returned emails), if not then copy and paste the contents of one of the returned emails here and we should be able to find it.

When you have the IP, try typing it in here and see what results you get.

Last week my computer was infected with Spy Sheriff and who knows what other goodies. I believe I have removed Spy Sheriff however I still have some type of virus. The problem is that some process is generating many emails, and my Norton Internet Security 2007 is displaying a message on the screen for each message trying to be sent. It can fill up the entire screen with 30-40 messages. Norton says that it could not send the message, however the Norton information windows keep opening. I can click on an 'OK' prompt to close one of the windows, usually another will open. The messages seem to be addressed to random people/groups but the subject lines are the same. One subject is 'fat is a disaster'. This emailing begins when I connect to my Internet provider (Comcast). If no internet connection is detected, I do not get the email messages. As soon as I connect the cable, within 1-2 minutes all of the emails begin. I am running Windows XP Pro with SP2. I also have Spy Sweeper installed. It does not find any problems during a full scan. Norton also does not find anything after a full scan. Want I want to know is what is causing this, and how to get rid of it.
Thanks for the help.

Hello skyhawkTry a few other scans. Norton and Spysweeper may not be finding everything that's bad.Download and scan with AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 in "SAFE MODE".(This is Ewdio 4.0 renamed. If you already have Ewido installed, please update to this version which has a special "clean driver" for removing persistent malware). Be sure to print out the AVG Anti-Spyware Install-Scan Instructions. Then download and scan with SUPERAntiSypware Free for Home Usersalternate siteDouble-click SUPERAntiSypware.exe to install and use the default settings for installation.Run SUPERAntiSypware and update the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Udates".When done, select "Scan for Harmful Software".There are three scanning options available. Choose "Perform Complete Scan" and click "Next".When done, a Scan Summary will appear with potentially harmful items that were detected. Click "OK".Place a checkmark next to items you wish to remove/quarantine and Click "Next".A notification will appear that "Quarantine and Removal is Complete". Click "OK" and then click the "Finish" button to return to the main menu.Select close to exit the program.Note: If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download and unzip them from here. When done, please perform this online Virus scan: Trend Micro Housecall <- Use "Autoclean" and manually delet... For about 3 weeks now, whenever I go online windows start popping up saying my Norton AntiVirus is scanning out-going emails - then Norton Email Proxy statements start popping up. I read a posting here from a member who had the same problem and tried the suggested remedies but nothing worked for me. I did everything in the "Preparation Guide ... before posting a HJT log". After downloading Zone Alarm (I already have Norton Firewall), the problem appears to be gone. A:Random Emails Being Generated

I think the problem may be file 361101032253072.exe. Zone Alarm has been blocking attempts from this file accessing the internet. I did some searches and according to prevx.com (???), it is related to a Trojan named VXGAME.n .

If this is correct, can you tell me how to remove it.

Thank you for your time and expertise.

Just got an email from a friend that he is receiving random odd email from my yahoo email address.  Any course of action I should take?  Thank you.

A:I think my PC might be infected. Sending out random emails.

First thing is to log into your Yahoo and change the password. It is possible you have a keylogger infection so it would be wise to change the password on a different machine you know is clean. Run a malwarebytes full scan and see what it finds. It is not always an infection that causes access to your email, it could be things like a week password that was hacked and now they make use to spam your contacts. Strong passwords usually include a capital letter a few numbers and a symbol such as a period... etc.
