I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hey, I've been trying to install Windows Server 2012 R2 for a school project. Sadly, on the HP ProBook 6560b Notebook I've run into a problem with finding the Network Adaptor. Here's the following driver installs used:-sp54548-sp54549-sp60775 Also, the Intel install for this model's network adapter. All have failed and power cycling didn't contribute. I've seen in past forums this has a solution but all are dead links or a link to the HP Support page that doesn't list WIndows Server 2012 but every other WIndows OS and Linux. I ONLY NEED THE ETHERNET TO WORK. Thank you.
Hi: The only suggestion I can offer, would be to try the W8.1 ethernet driver. Try manually installing it if the auto install method doesn't work. This package contains the driver installation package for the Intel 82579LM and 82579V Gigabit Ethernet Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63881.exe ...and you tried the driver directly from Intel? I'm surprised that didn't work either. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23073/Intel-Network-Adapter-Driver-for-Windows-Server-2012... You may want to use the free file utility, 7-Zip and use it to extract the exe file into its driver folder and browse to it from the ethernet controller in the device manager and see if it installs that way.Read other 1 answers

I recently had the misfortune of screwing up my Win7 installation beyond repair, restore points corrupted, you name it. To the point, I began from scratch and have caught up pretty reasonably. I noticed a new graphic driver previously not released while I was busy destroying my previous Win7 installation, and upon installing it discovered that every time I completed the installation, it would reboot, flash a few times (which video driver installations tend to do), then Aero would be turned off and a popup would say a restart was necessary due to 'changes made.' So I would restart, and even before I could login, I saw the flashing taking place as the login screen loaded. Upon logging in, there it was again, 'restart due to changes.' This happened seven times. I finally loaded a restore point from before it and things are fine now. Here is a screenshot of iolo System Mechanic and Windows Update's visual of the driver. I know my ProBook has interchangable GPU capabilities which has been the source of quite a bit of stress, so I wondered if this simply wasn't meant for my particular laptop, but I would like some insight from the community. Good morning to you Sir/Mdm, I'm currently facing a problem, because this current laptop I am using is from my previous company and it's all restricted due to the adminstration access & etcs, so I'm finding a way to 'Factory Restore / Reformat' this laptop. I tried several ways but it couldn't work, is there any other ways for me to try it? I have tried : 1) Restarting the Laptop > F11 (Which did not exisit in this laptop) / ESC & Couldn't find any system restored. 2) Tried going to ''Restore your computer or Re-install window'', didn't have the option of 'Factory Restore/Setting' Please help me solve it, Thank you very much for your time & effort. I have a laptop (ProBook 4720s) with Windows 10 that started booting to a black screen and becoming non-responsive some days ago.
When I boot, I see the HP splash screen, then the Windows logo loading and then an unresponsive black screen without a cursor.
The only way I can turn off the computer is by holding the power button.
Sometimes it'll boot to a "Windows could not start correctly"-screen and I've tried that start-up repair, which couldn't solve it, I've tried System Restore to the latest point which failed twice and I've tried booting into Safe Mode with Network possibilities and then it froze while trying to enter the password.
The only thing that worked was just booting into Safe Mode, the computer worked perfectly fine then.
I've also tried booting with a HDMI cable connected to a TV to make sure it's not just outputting the video to the wrong place, still a black screen though.
Since the laptop doesn't really "support" Windows 10 (there aren't any drivers for the laptop from the official site for Windows 10), I've downloaded some of the Drivers from [here](http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/hp/laptops-desktops/hp-probook-4720s/1020).
As far as I know though I think I've only installed the drivers that were necessary to make the webcam and fingerprint scanner work, though the latter still doesn't function.
Do note though that the computer worked fine after installing these drivers, it was only after a month or 2 that this suddenly ... Read more
Hi All, My Company recently purchased several Probook G3 computers with no OS. My IT department has installed Windows 7 32 bit on them. During my checkout and install of Aircraft specific software and setup, I noticed the computer seemed sluggish, and noted that trackpad, display, etc... did not perform correctly. Upon looking up the Specs for the G3 I found that HP lists only Win 10 64 bit versions as operating system. Although the computer seems to work with the Win 7, what kind of problems might we encounter? Should we upgrade to Win 10 before sending them out? Thanks in advance for any input. Hi: Your notebook cannot run XP under any circumstances. 1. Intel does not support any of its series 8 chipset platforms for Windows XP, so there is no sata ahci driver you can install. 2. There are no graphics drivers even if you were able to install XP in IDE mode.Read other 5 answers

Hi; Unfortunately, there isn't. No PC from any manufacturer is being supported for any other OS but W10, that has an Intel 7th gen core processor. Hi, I'm having some trouble getting Windows 10 installed properly: How did you guys even get the HP 4530s to get the right Display Drivers for Windows 10, it looks like HP still hasn't released updated drivers for the 4530s... I have a ProBook 4530s running Windows 7 64bit Home edition. When I did the Windows 10 upgrade about a month ago, the installation appeared successful, but upon booting the computer, at the sign on screen (with the rocky beach picture with the ocean in the background) the screen would just flicker and not allow me to sign in or go past that point. So I went back to Windows 7. It appears to be a display driver issue but I see that HP has not released any display drivers for Windows 10 for the ProBook 4530s. Even if I had the driver's ready on an external flash drive or something, how am I supposed to install them if the screen keeps flickering and not allowing me to get to the desktop. I have also hooked up an external monitor and the same thing happens... How do I get the proper drivers installed -especially Display and Wireless Networking drivers,,,,before doing the upgrade attempt again to Windows 10? The problem is with the ATI graphics Catalyst driver, with version 15.7. To solve the problem of slow start, in the registry, change all the DWORD value to 0 in the enableULPS key. ankush2 Hello;Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!I read your post about needing Win10 drivers for your laptop and wanted to help. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem you're up against is that Microsoft only supplies drivers with the most basic functionality, and what you really need for FULL functionality in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific hardware found in laptops -- and unfortunately, there are no HP Win10 drivers for your laptop. However, for MS-supplied drivers that aren't working well, you could consider using HP Win8 drivers -- although there's no guarantee that those drivers will work. Here's the link to the HP Product drivers and software page for Win8 for your PC: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=5060881&lang=en&cc=usWhen that page opens, select Windows 8x using the operating system pulldown. You might have to install the drivers using compatibility mode: http://www.windows10forums.com/articles/compatibility-mode.7/Good LuckRead other 1 answers

Hi, I have recently got brand new Probook 455 G3 with AMD A-10 Radeon R6 and Windows-10 Home 64 bit OS.I need to use Oracle's Virtual BOX ( VB )software to create a Linux VM with 64 bit Linux OS.Normally, after VB is installed, it would show options for 64 bit as well as 32 bit Linux and other OS. VB does this byaccessing System Configuration info on Laptop. However, after I install VB successfully , It does not show options for 64 bit OS's , it only shows options for various OS with 32 bit configuration. Even for Windows as a guest OS, it shows 32 bit option only.I looked at HP and VB forums and looks like many people had this problem. And it seems this requires BIOS update and setting AMD-V ( or virtualization option in BIOS) to "Enabled" Mode. Hence I upgraded by BIOS via HP Support Assistant and then I tried to look into BIOS options during Booting, I can not find any options for Virtualization such as AMD-V or similar.I also tried re-installing VB with ADMIN user on the Laptop but still no resolution. VB forum tells to look at BIOS settings only and Disable Windows Hyper-V settings. For me, HYPER-V is already disabled since i have Windows 10 Home edition, and that edition does not suppoer Hyper-V. I have other HP with Intel I5, and VB works just fine with 64 bit option on that.WIll appreciate if anyone has any success in setting this up for this model of HP and provide some hints.Thanks.C.B.
