help finding accidentally deleted e-addresses

Q: help finding accidentally deleted e-addresses

I deleted a couple of e-mail addresses i wish i didn't,anyway i could find them ?

Preferred Solution: help finding accidentally deleted e-addresses

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: help finding accidentally deleted e-addresses

Hi booy72jp2001

Did you send an e-mail to any one of those addresses?
If so, check in your Sent Items folder.

If you haven't sent an e-mail message to the e-mail address or received an e-mail from that e-mail address, I don't know other than asking how you came by the addresses originally.

I inadvertantly deleted all of my saved email messages and address book when I deleted myself as a user in control panel/users (I was trying to deal with a Windows password that I could not remember).

When I re-created myself as a user on my computer, I found that all of my saved emails and my address book were no longer present in Outlook Express 5.0. Is there any way to retrieve this information? I'm using Windows 98 SE.

Thanks a Bunch!

I'm networking my house through wireless modems in my house, which are all connected to a computer. Everything is set up already, but I need the IP address, Subnet Mask, and the Gateway address of one of the computers, 'cause I want some of my computers to connect to it instead of the other modem. How do I find these addresses?

A:Finding the addresses

Wow, do you have me confused.

Most folks network their house using a router (or a wireless router) as the common point. If the router does not cover the entire house, they normally connect wireless access points to the router to extend the connectivity. All computers then connect to the wireless router, the wireless access point, or a switch connected to either one. Set DHCP on the router, and you are all set.

To get Internet access to all of the computers in the house, all you'd have to do is connect the wireless router to cable or DSL modem.

What the heck are you trying to do?

I read somewhere.... and don't hold me to this.... that one of the things that slows things while web surfing using dial-up is the fact that when you type in a url is that the browser must "look-up" or "find" the IP address..... or SOMETHING to that effect.

I have also heard that if you enter the IP address in your favorites instead of the standard www. url you can speed things up... even if slightly. When using dial-up I feel you need to gain every little advantage that you can.

Is this true? Is there any benifit in enetering the IP address of a site and if so..... how can I find a sites IP address?

I may be all wet here... and probably am.... but I thought of no other place to go to ask my stupid questions.........lol

Thanks in advance

No Yes Maybe.
Depends what you mean by all.

If I was a friend and came over to your house, then asked if I could
just check my emails real quick over at Yahoo! - my email address
would not appear on your computer.

On the otherhand, if you use Outlook Express or Windows Mail or
some other email client, the email accounts are at Tools->Accounts.
But if you have other users that have their own accounts that are
password protected, it poses a problem.

if someone has registered to a website using their email address and an alias so they won't be caught, is it possible to find them anyway? for example, my child has registered on a dating service site with his email address, and has a anonymous username for that site. if i google his email address and username nothing comes up from the query, but i have a hunch he's there. any ideas?

A:registered email addresses and finding them on sites

Most sites (including this one) don't display the user's email address anywhere. If they did, it would be a haven for spammers who collect good addresses. If you suspect it's an underage child, you might be able to contact the administrators of that site and ask that they investigate, but I doubt they'll be able to give you much detail, even if they do look into it.

any help would be appreciated.

A:finding imc folder addresses in exchange server with virus

Welcome to TSF.

There may be a file or two that is causing this problem. Please download HijackThis. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Run a scan and save the log file. Post the whole log file here. Do not fix anything since most of them listed there are harmless (some are system required). This program will help us determine if there is any spyware/malware on your computer.

So while i was going through my Zune media player software, i was deleting music that i just dont listen to anymore.
i have an 80g zune, and i had to free up space to sync up my library. Quite a bit of music.
So in about the 3rd hour of deleting music...i get delirious, and just start clicking at things and deleting.

Somehow, I (while holding ctrl to select music) hit ctrl+A and hit delete. Yep I deleted my entire library. I'm awesome...
I deleted the music, not only from my library, but from the music folder on my computer.

The recycle bin only has room for so much and has only a fraction of the music I had originally.

I have Windows 2000 Professional and while trying to delete the 'Brilliant Dig' spyware I also deleted HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\. And now I cant open some web pages especially the javascript links. It says 'Error on page'

Also, I cant open Microsoft Word anymore. If i try to do so it says: "the windows installer service could not be accessed. contact your support personnel to verify that the Windows Installer service is properly registered."

When I try to open a word document saved on my C\drive it says: "The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options Control Panel."

In addition to these, when I try to update my AVG Anti virus I receive a message like there is a problem with the interface and it fails to update.

And finally some options like start-search-all files and folders and edit-find (on this page) commands do not work.

Hope you can help me with this problem?

I had to recently replace my power supply. When I restored my system everything that had been added since 2004 was either inop or gone. In the mean time my wife or son opened facebook or my space and hooked into a virus called "Protection Center" along with its buddy "Defense Center". I tried all sorts of ways to remove these tough viruses and finally wiped the hard drive of most things on it. Once I got control of my PC back I began reloading all that was lost including my security programs. I think I erased some important functions while I was trying to get rid of the virus. Is there a free program available from windows,HP or compaq or someone reputable that can show me what I am missing such as dll's or registries? Can they also show me how to repair these lost functions without having me download some program that is "free" and then wants 10-20-30 dollars or more to actually fix the problem?

Hello everyone!

I had a dual boot on my laptop (running windows 7 and arch linux). I decided to get rid of the linux partitions and accidentally deleted the EFI partition. As a result, my laptop now doesn't recognize that there is any operating system on the computer.

What I have tried: I am currently using this: http://www.eightforums.com/general-support/52515-windows-8-cant-start-due-missing-efi-partition.html and the post by Genet with Option 3 since I allocated the space back to my disk C. I am running into an error part way thru the solution though where after I do "create partition efi size=260", it comes back with "MSR and EFI partitions are only supported on GPT disks. Convert the selected disk to GPT and try again". I don't know if I want to do that because its my local disk C...don't want to mess that up and change the format of that.

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

If they are stored on the easyshares server, you better email kodak and ask them if they can recover them.

If you deleted the pics from your hard disk, install it as a slave on another pc, download getdataback (http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-faq.htm) and install it on the new pc, and see if the files are on the drive, then you can retrieve them to your friends hard disk.

So I have an ipod touch 4, and on my old computer the apps I downloaded were saved in one spot. Then, when I got my new computer, newer apps started saving in a new spot, and whenever an app was updated, it would be moved to the new folder.

I had assumed that all of my apps that I was still using had either been updated, or that just using them would lead to them being moved to the new folder, and so deleted the old folder, but I am now aware that that is not the case and some of my apps are no longer present on my computer.

Fortunately I have all of my apps backed up on my external hard drive, even those ones, though I'm worried that those ones may not be the most recent versions, and that in the case of some of my games the save files may be significantly far behind.

Oddly enough, the apps still appear in my itunes folder fine, other than that they have an exclamation point next to them and when I click "get info" they can't be found, but they still appear on my ipod and work fine and have the most recent saves, despite having synced my ipod to my computer multiple times since then.

Does anyone know what is going on and how I might fix this before I somehow end up losing the saves on these games?

While holding the Ctrl key, click on a New Task. The MSDOS window will be displayed. Copy and Paste the following at the prompt and press Enter:

Copy C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache\explorer.exe C:\Windows

Let me know how it goes.

Grandkids disabled McAfee Virus scan and I couldn't get it back. My mcafee cd said newer version was on computer and would not download. I went to mcafee website and cost was 40.00. Like an idiot i went to peer to peer site to get newer version and my computer was filled with filth and everything else. I then tried to delete all of the unwanted files and must have deleted some files i needed. Then I got Internet Explorer Active X errors and Netscape won't open. I tried to download my Internet Explorer from the version on my other computer but it won't take because it's a different operating system. Of course it told me to delete the existing version before it told me it would not download. Please help.

A:accidentally deleted files

Do you have an XP CD (if you're running XP)?
